He has more than 17 years of experience in real estate practice, with more than 8 of those years engaged in litigating title insurance claims. Prior to that, as an associate in the real estate practice group at the law firm of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, P.C., Mr. Rosanes represented national and regional financial institutions, real estate developers, national retail chains, owners and lessees in the acquisition, sale, financing, leasing and subleasing of residential, retail, office, industrial and mixed-use space. Mr. Rosanes began his career representing institutional lenders and private investors in the acquisition, sale, financing and refinancing of residential and investment properties. Mr. Rosanes is the co-author of, “Hey, That’s My Property! Maybe, and Maybe Not. Proving Adverse Possession Has Become Easier in New York,” New York Law Journal, Trends in Real Estate and Title Insurance, Volume 236-No. 45, and was a featured speaker at the National Business Institute’s seminar “Troubleshooting Title and Title Insurance Problems.” A life-long racing sailor, Mr. Rosanes was co-captain of the sailing team at Loyola College. He continues to be an avid yachtsman and outdoorsman, and has served pro bono as General Counsel to the Huntington Lighthouse Preservation Society, Inc., the first non-profit organization in the country to successfully take title to an offshore lighthouse.
